This is Rose Tyler. It’s no secret that I love this character, and Billie Piper. She’s my favorite, I love crossing her with other characters from other fandoms and she’s in 95% of all my graphics.

Who cares if I can’t let her go? I fell in love with her five years ago, and she’s stuck with me. Characters do that, they speak to you and you see yourself in them or what you would like to be. For some reason this is alright as long as your favorite character isn’t Rose Tyler. Over and over I see her being used a joke in arguments or wank. It seems like if you like her you’re automatically young and immature, crazy or “stanning” or I don’t even fucking know, it’s late and I’m tired but there’s a section of fandom that boils everything that’s wrong with DW down to one character. Most fans who don’t like Moffat criticize him and his writing, but a lot of people who love him always come back to making fun of RTD’s fans or Rose’s fans. I’ve never connected to another companion the way I’ve connected to her, this doesn’t make me an crazy fan.

As serious as we can take our shows, and this might be contradictory but whatever, this is a television show. There are a lot of differing opinions on it. NONE OF THEM AFFECT YOU PERSONALLY. If I want to ship Rose with Eleven, or myself, or Dalek fucking Sec it is not your problem and it doesn’t do any damage to the show itself the way it is now. If you want me to let go of Rose, follow your own advice and forget about her. There are characters I hate with a passion but I don’t spend energy making posts about them or reblogging shit with them on it just to say how much I hate them. I ignore them. This is just how I am personally and I don’t expect everyone to be this way, but it fucking drives me insane anyhow.
