In this day and age with returning students oftentimes being adults, this is completely plausible and I think the only major difference would be Clara having an office that probably smells nicer than prof!Doctor’s. :V

All I know for sure is that I want:

• Clara to be wearing shirts buttoned up to her throat and some reading glasses.
• And maybe because she’s a young professor a lot of the other faculty are sort of snide to her, which is why when The Doctor is an ass later it will really annoy her.
• Her and The Doctor will have some type of awkward/funny/borderline flirty run-in before the first class of the semester.
• And maybe he’ll act a little condescendingly towards her at first when he realizes she’s the professor, but she’s quick to straighten him out. Like she just flat out shuts down his sass.
• Then one day she bites her lip during class and he thinks about it later and it makes his face hot.
• And they have a debate during class that goes on for several minutes (maybe even after the class ends) and when it’s finally over (with neither of them conceding) they’re both turned on and sort of looking at each other like, ‘Well, that was oddly enjoyable.’

I really want to try and write it, but maybe when I have more of an idea
