The Doctor basically loves Clara so much she can do anything and he won’t stop. That’s major super terribly unhealthy, but really that’s what they are together: not good for each other, but still in love anyway. So he pretty much told Clara he loves her. I’ll be in my Dome of Infinite Emotion for the rest of the night.
