This is what I love about Capaldi’s acting, it’s so subtle it hurts like a motherfucker. We had to screen that smile to properly have a look on it.

This smile is sad, and Twelve unconciously copies that smile from Clara – smiling to reassure, ignoring the fact that your hearts are breaking into ashes. This is what I call a relationship development, from “I’ll abandon you coz you’re brilliant on adrenaline” to “i’m gonna go to hell with you to bring your boyfriend back”.

sorry, let me highlight: a man, deeply in love with this woman, goes to hell with her to bring a man back, the man who stole her from the Doctor, who will take her from him, who he doesn’t even like. After she betrayed him, let him down.
