This was the moment when I REALLY thought they were going to kiss.

Yeah, this was the scene where I spent a few seconds expecting significantly more than kissing actually. 

same, this scene was something else. I would love to know how they had decided to play this one because that was. thought they were going to kiss and then some before I remembered it’s a family show.

I think you’re missing the important part. HE SAID HE WOULD COME ROUND FOR DINNER IF SHE WANTED! The ONLY other time he has EVER done that post-companions leaving is with the Ponds. He wants any chance to see her that badly.
