ok but look how much both of them have changed. she’s gone from stepping away instinctively with fear and shock to fully understanding that he’s the same man as her handsome bowtie-wearing hero, except she understands him more and understands his burdens a little better, and now she’s seeking out some kind of safety from him

and apparently he’s gone from being unsure and latching on to her as the one safe thing after a rocky regeneration, to being much more sure-footed, to the point where he can both quickly assess that she needs a safe haven and he can provide it for her
