1. the meaning behind my url
Honestly, no meaning. I use it on livejournal and when I went to make other social networking sites, I kept it. So I am marcasite pretty much everywhere haha. LJ, AO3, twitter and here. I did it mainly to make it easier for people to find me from site to site but I guess I could consider a new one. I do like it, though. Makes me think of sparkly things which I love.
4. last time i cried and why
The last time I cried I was when I watched this video: Escaping from North Korea in search of freedom
Honestly, I was moved by her story and I cried over her openness and the way she spoke about wheat she’s been through. I recommend watching this to anyone.
17. a fact about my life
I have returned to Uni to get a degree while in my late-thirties and am almost done. It’s hard being a student, so I have much sympathy to many of my friends on here that are, but it’s an interesting twist to be a student at 40. I find I have more in common with my classmates than I dreamed could be possible and I am glad that I went back.
