What are you doing in here?

I love this because Clara’s trying to hide- she gets home, and she goes into her room to curl up on her bed amongst a mass of pillows. It’s the most sheltered place in her flat- the place where she probably goes to get away from everything, when she’s at her most vulnerable.

And the fact that the Doctor’s there changes absolutely nothing- she just buries herself in the cushions regardless. They’re so close that his being there when she’s distraught is normal- he’s seen her at her worst- she doesn’t put on a show, or pretend that she’s okay. She doesn’t ask him to leave so that she can sort her feelings out, even though he’s not particularly understanding.

I just think that this speaks volumes about their relationship- it’s so close that the Doctor can exist in the place where Clara goes to escape from things and neither of them question it past the reason that he’s there in the first place.
