Doctor Who Filming: 25 February

Production for the series 9 opener The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar has travelled to Tenerife’s Teide National Park in the Canary Islands, but not even this exotic locale has deterred fans from trying to get a glimpse of the action.

The set consisted of scaffolding with marks, which can be assumed to be a reference for CGI to be placed in later.

Michelle Gomez and Jenna Coleman were spotted, but there was no sight of Peter Capaldi. Gomez can be seen in the top image, standing behind the scaffolding.
