Jenna Louise Coleman‘s IndyCon Panel (Saturday)

Today marked the first con appearance of Jenna in the USA! The first person in line (A Journey to the Center of the TARDIS Clara cosplayer) was in line for 3 1/2 hours. I was in it for about 2, I got a second row seat right next to the mic. When it was finally time, Jenna walked out and there was a moment of of my gosh she’s here! then the cheers began.

Here’s some things we learned during her Q&A

• Clara was an English Lit major and she got her degree PRIOR to becoming a nanny but simply didn’t know what to do with it. So she didn’t go to university between s7 and the 50th, rather, got a new job.
• Jenna’s favorite outfits were Oswin’s and the dresses from The Snowmen.
• She loved filming Mummy on the Orient Express
• She loves Matt and Peter equally and just couldn’t pick between them
• If she could travel in time she’d go to NYC in the 20s, ancient Rome, or to see the fall of the dinosaurs
• **She was asked a question about how Clara would deal with the depression of losing Danny and everything else that had happened and got very tight lipped because they’re still filming. But she hinted that this new season would be a new sort of adventure for Twelve and Clara. 
• She has never made a souffle
• When it was brought up that Clara is considered to be bossy, she said sometimes the Doctor needs bossing around. (AMEN HOLLA)
• If she could pick any other companion to be, she’d be amy
• She loved both her Doctors’ coolness, creativity, and silliness
• She is Rachel’s (a girl at the Q&A) brother’s bae
• The worst question she has ever been asked had to do with her being “bigger on the inside” and would say no more.
• TARDIS filming days are her fav.
• She has never tried fish fingers and custard
• Her favorite sonic screwdriver is John Hur because it was so small
• Fan asked: “Are you mad at Moffat for killing you?” Her response: “He started the job by killing me.” She went on to say it was something she got used to XD
• Regeneration day on set was weird
• Her favorite episode with Peter was In the Forest of Night 
• She loves the episode Listen
• What she liked most about Oswin: the opera music, dancing, baking, her utility belt, being a computer mastermind, and wearing a Rose in her hair. Also being a Dalek.
• Her favorite thing about the relationship between her and the Doctor is the utter unlikeliness. She compared it to being “best friends with your dad.” 
• Favorite monsters: Whisper Men and Silence
• When the idea was proposed, she liked being the idea of being the “first and last” face Twelve sees, keeping with the pattern of Rose and Amy. She wished she had Moffat on speed dial XD.
• She enjoyed being on the Captain America set and thought it was fascinating
• Peter Capaldi does NOT have a face book. He can barely text and is baffled by emojis.
