Through emails I was able to talk to the artist randomthunk regarding her thoughts when she created her art work, below each piece is what she expressed to me. It was my pleasure to get to know this artist a bit better
Created June 2014: “Deep Breath”
“Immediately after we heard the title for the S8 opener I knew I had to draw something. Probably a bit to sinister for 12, but it was still a time of mystery.”
Created October 2014: “Part-time Time Lording (Part of Inktober)
“I’m happy at how my inking skills managed to hang around post-college (it had been three years since I did any kind of proper inking) and at how “approachable” this piece tends to be for comments.
Created New Years Eve 2014 to New Years Day 2015: “Second Chances”
“I actually worked on a little bit during my NYE festivities. My friend’s dad described 12 as “a really hot Abraham Lincoln” so “Baberaham Lincoln” became 12′s new nickname”
Created February 2015: Into the Coffee”
“This is drawn as part of Series 8 cookbook I illustrated (which you can get here http://www.etsy.com/transaction/1022043507 ) and it also ended up in BBC America’s SDCC display”
Created July 2015: Rebel Soufflé
“Other than being a fun piece spurned on by some goofy back-and-forth with people and a “return to form” as far as using bright lights on a dark background, this was the first piece I fought with someone over on Instagram for reposting with no credit and also got me banned from their account. (Instagram sided with me on the copyright claim so no worries) It’s a certain kind of milestone”
I have found her art beautiful and a feast for the eyes and this is just a smidgen of her Art. I really like the different types of art styles. But my favorite is the brightly colored ones. You can find more of her art at the two links below.
