Basil Smith. Born 1930 in Glasgow to a working class family. Self taught on guitar and piano. Got his start playing for his father’s friends at the local pub. Writes all his own music and notoriously difficult to work with. But always worth it. Nicknamed The Doctor at the height of his career because he was hailed as the man who healed the industry after the day the music died.

Clara Oswald. Born 1955 in Blackpool. Promising young journalist struggling for her first big story. Of course, she’s heard of The Doctor. Everyone thought he died in the 70’s but he’s making a brief comeback before he retires from music for good. Now she’s assigned to cover his final tour and neither she nor the Doctor are getting quite what they bargained for.

The year is 1982 and they are boarding the bus for The Doctor’s Last Hurrah Tour.
