Hi Michelle! Today, your Secret Santa is wondering if you have any predictions/wishes for the next dw episodes with River Song! I am personally too heartbroken over Clara to care much about River right now, but of course I’m still going to watch it. Do you think they might be simple comic relief episodes, or something more?

I will watch it though probably not live, cause well, Christmas lol. But here’s the thing, I don’t think I would have minded a Twelve and River adventure on my screen if it was just a bit later. I am ok with them being flirty and stuff, they love each other and that doesn’t mean he loves Clara (or Rose, or Jo, or Tegan, or SJ) any less. I think it’s because it is just to close to the loss of Clara for me and well, Clara/Twelve is my ship. And by close I mean, like three weeks. Haha, I get that it could be years for the Doctor when he bumps into River again (and we all know its set right after The Angels Take Manhattan so she has just lost her parents) but I think, me as viewer and shipper, its just so soon. 

I am not a River hater by any means. I could take or leave her tbh, and loved her story with Eleven and the Ponds. I am just not sure what new she will bring other than more flirting with a new Doctor. I just wonder if there will be character development and a chance to move her character deeper. All I am hearing is that it’s just a romp and I am kinda eh, ok, about that. I will take the comic relief and enjoy it. And will look forward to series 10, in whatever form it takes. 

And I will watch, cause Capaldi, lol.
