Another year comes to a close, and while it seems like 2015 was collectively a tiresome, boring, lame, or downright terrible year for everyone, there is still some cause to celebrate. This year for me saw a return to fandoms I thought I’d left behind. I rejoined OUAT, mostly for Rumbelle, but I have also found myself falling back in love with Swanfire, and being drawn in to Swan Queen. The X-Files has been reborn, literally, and the prospect of a new series, even a short one, makes me so happy. It was my first real fandom that I joined online and participated in with other people, it was also the first fandom I wrote fanfic for. It’s quite literally the reason I’m here now, on Tumblr. And then there’s Star Wars. Even though I won’t see the movie until next week, I’m so desperately happy for a new movie that does justice to the originals, and that brings back the first OTP I ever had, before I knew what shipping was, what sex even was. I was 8 and I just knew Han and Leia were cute and I needed them to smooch more.
I have met so many new and wonderful people this year, and many of them have made my follow forever list in a very short time. Mutuals are bolded, here we go.
The people who make every day of my life better for having them in it, who have taught me more about myself, about writing, about the world than I ever thought possible. I love all of you so much. I can’t imagine my life or my Tumblr life without you. You should follow and befriend these people so you too can find your very existence improved.

Thank you for making me more aware of our world. I am not perfect, and I admit there were things I had thought and foolishly believed we had perhaps moved beyond. I am sad to realize how wrong I was, but not at all sad to continue to grow and learn.
