guyssssss so i’ve always wanted to go to a con, and i was just talking with my family a week or two ago about potentially going to boston comic con, and then i never looked into it.

BUT THEN I FOUND OUT JENNA COLEMAN IS GOING TO BE THERE and i flipped out and was like all right, i need to go and good lord do i want a photo op with her… it’s expensive, but worth it, right? *nudges jenna coleman fans for support* am i right? 

also John Barrowman and Karen Gillian and Karl Urban are going to be there!!!!!!!

so anyway, i really know nothing about how conventions work in general, let alone this specific one, so i thought maybe some of you might help a girl out? 

for instance, they don’t have the schedule up yet, but let’s say a celebrity guest like jenna coleman is there for saturday and sunday; does that mean she has a panel on both days? also, sunday is cheaper than saturday, so i’d probably go then because jenna and john and karen are there on both days, but is there any reason why saturday might be better? 

anyone just have any con advice in general for a super newbie?

anyway, i would want to cosplay as clara most likely, so i’d need to get that together… (aka what a lovely excuse to buy outfits of my fashion icon <3)

lastly, i should go, right? normally this would be one of those things where i’d find it easier to just not go, and come up with excuses, but i really want to go. and i know i’ll be tempted to buy things there, but my friend suggested setting a budget for myself. and it’s not like i go to these things all the time, so i should go when celebrities i love are there and just have fun. i’d most likely be going alone, but i think that’ll be totally fine. and for real, is a photo op worth it? i just feel it in my soul that i should get one with jenna because i adore her so much…

anyway, we’ll see if it works out!

I am going to the BCC as well. I went last year when Billie Piper was there. They won’t post a schedule until later but I remember that there was only one panel between the two days she was there. But I remember last year they did a photo op with one celebrity and then offered a second photo op with two from the same show so I think it’s highly likely that they will offer a Jenna one and then maybe one with Jenna/Karen or even Jenna/Karen/John. Obviously, you would pay per photo so it would be the photo price X2 or X3. I am thinking of cosplaying Rose Tyler, I have her Tooth and Claw outfit and seems the coolest for August. Or maybe Clara’s Death in Heaven dress and no tights lol. At BCC, they make you walk the ENTIRE perimeter of the building to get in so by the time you make it, you will be sweating your balls off. Trust me on this one. I had a blast last year, I love the creativity of the costumes and the overall vibe. A ton of people will there this year, I am excited about the DW team but Karl Urban and the DC team as well, I love Legends of Tomorrow. So if you can do it, you should try and go!
