I found this interesting….
Eleanor HIbbert was a prolific author of historical fiction, gothic fiction and romantic fiction having written over 191 books from the 1940s to the 1990s. You may have seen many of her pen names such as Victoria Holt or Philippa Carr. But under her pen name Jean Plaidy, she wrote over 90 historical fiction novels chronicling European historical monarchies, pretty much in sequential order. Super prolific and in each historical fiction story she details a lot of her sources at the end.
I have read a lot of them, on a whim, and I saw that she even write one chronicling the four years that Victoria and Lord Melbourne were close companions, The Queen and Lord M. I definitely think Vicbourne shippers would enjoy this historical fiction novel. It may even help understand to those crying historical inaccuracy, that there may have been something there and Daisy Goodwin only amplified it to lead into the next part of Victoria’s life which we know so well.
