17. Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
Nope, and its a killer on my beta. I write snippets so a paragraph in one scene and a paragraph in another. Nothing is in order so I end up cutting and pasting a million times. I end up changing the character since he was in my original thought when I wrote it but when its time to flesh out the scene, I realize that character isn’t even in the room (oops). So I spend a lot of time reading to make sure it makes sense in the final product.
28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
Only three? Ummmm, how about five?
@rumple-belle / rowofstars – The imagination, the dialogue, and emotion conveyed is just so beautiful. Her smut is written beautifully and adds to the storytelling and never feels like an insert for the sake of smut. I love her writing.
@laurielover1912 / laurielove – These stories are HIGHLY imaginative, the world building beyond amazing, historical research and context make you feel like you are in whatever universe the characters are inhabiting.
@skitzofreak / skitzofreak Writing is completely balanced between actions and emotions. A story I have read a few times A Light To You (In Dark Places) was my main introduction to this author and it is a perfect balance of character study with emotional impact of wartime. I absolutely love this writer’s ability to bring me right into the action.
@theputterer / theputterer This author wrote the Cassian Andor Nonsense Series and I have to tell you, it was the most amazing, tragic, richly developed, fantastical universe I have ever read. It was researched and layered and nuanced and yes, sometimes very hard to read emotionally but I LOVED IT.
@longjackets / jontif I will forever love this authors ability to create poetry out of a single line of dialogue. The phrase turns are incredible and I am super jealous at how much detail is packed into every line!
Thanks for the ask, nonny!
