A Galaxy Far, Far Away → [76/∞] Kafrene

A mining colony and trading post constructed to hold together two large, malformed planetoids in the Ring of Kafrene, an asteroid belt in the Thand Sector of the Expansion Region. Unlike most of the larger moons and planets of the Galaxy, Kafrene was not terraformed with plant life, instead functioning as a small, dense ecumenopolis with artificial atmosphere for human breathability. Outside of the main city, xeno terraformation created an atmosphere of mainly ammonia gas, limiting human interaction to the trading post’s city center. The Rebel Alliance first became aware of the existence of the Death Star via a clandestine meeting on Kafrene between Captain Cassian Andor and his Partisan informant, Tivik.
