As he was knocked to the ground, Cassian Andor thought it was just as well. Since it was Labor Day weekend, it made sense that in the last days of summer he should be hit by a football as he biked across the Green and sent sprawling in a very undignified manner. 

It fit the entire narrative of his summer: he mostly had spent it catching up on his reading while he worked extra shifts in the library to make up for the weeks he would later spend in Mexico doing research at the Biblioteca Nacional. The rest of the time was filled up with English to Spanish translation gigs. Kay, who was a workaholic himself, had looked at him with no degree of alarm as he trudged into the kitchen morning after morning sporting what his friend called a “blue light tan”.
