A good one, and one I tried to capture more with feeling than with anything they say. Here it is!

“I think that was one of the times the doctors wouldn’t let
you in,” she continues in a careful, controlled voice. “Because there’s an
addendum in the file that lists you as my spouse, added about twenty minutes
after I was checked in. You must have gone looking for a med droid and had the
file changed to grant you access.”

Cassian clears his throat softly and nods against the back
of her neck. “It’s an old trick,” he jokes lightly, “but it works every time.”
