tbh i think people are afraid to comment even if a fic is a week old because so many authors can be like “why is this getting comments its so OLD, its creepy”. i don’t comment on old fics unless i know the author is okay with it.

who are these authors???? all authors I know pretty much jump from joy when their older fics get comments. comments are what keep us going. if we wrote only for ourselves we wouldn’t publish our stuff

btw you all have my explicit permission (plead more like bc I don’t get a lot of comments ever) to comment any and all of my fics

Is there seriously anyone out there who dislikes getting feedback on an older fic?  WEIRD.  Is that what the cool kids are doing nowadays or some such? –  being sniffy about someone reading their back catalogue? 

Well then, yet another reason to be glad I am neither a kid, nor cool. 

That’s ridiculous. I love it when someone comments on my older fics. I may be shocked but I love it.

My absolute favourite thing in the world is a kudos or comment on some of my older works. Makes me so happy!
