The full monologue of this is still one of my absolute favorite scenes this show has ever done, but I find I have a greater appreciation for it (if that was even possible) after learning through the DVD commentaries that what they ended up using in the episode was Matt Smith’s first take. Way to hit it out of the park on your first go-around. Amazing. Also, fun fact: I had to remake this entire graphic from scratch last night after I accidentally saved over my original version. It was painful.
