“You haven’t even touched your
food,” Jyn said as she put down her spoon. Cassian was merely stirring the
plate in front of him; she’d been watching for a while and she had enough. “What’s
going on?”
“This isn’t food,” Cassian said in the same sour
tone she’d grown used to in the past couple of weeks. “And just because you put
it in a plate doesn’t make it food.”
Jyn withheld a sigh. They had
this debate before; she knew how it started, she knew the arguments, and she
knew the closing lines. She knew they’d fight and she’d win and they’d say
nothing they hadn’t already said before but she prepared to have this discussion
anyway. Because it was the only way to get through Cassian’s thick skull when
he got like this and she needed him to do what she said because she needed him
to be okay.
