Jyn has a plan.Only it doesn’t go like she’d hoped and she’s forced to reevaluate the year she spent with Cassian undercover as a married couple, wondering how much of it was real and how much of it was an act – or if it was all an act?
I love an angsty story with a pining and miscommunication. This has an amazing premise of a long term undercover mission with feelings that could be perceived to be mixed. I can’;t wait for what’s around the corner.
Jyn is Jyn, Cassian has feelings and is perplexed.
I love that Cassian has so much he has to say but can’t seem to get a single word out. The pining is real and I keep rooting for Cassian to just spit it out already and I am here for this story.

I think I may have reread this about a thousand times. It is sad and hopeful and loving and it shows the consequences of the actions we take, the impact it may have on those we love.

It didn’t matter, he realized suddenly as Jyn’s weight shifted to push herself upright, probably calculating how she could jump over him and leave the room. It didn’t matter if they were still sensitive or awkward or just the most ridiculous two organics to ever attempt whatever-the-hells-this-relationship-was. He could ponder it later, when she wasn’t three seconds from stalking out the door under the mistaken impression that he didn’t want her with him.-
After surviving the Invasion of Jedha City, Captain Cassian Andor of Rebel Intelligence is sent to the Ring of Kafrene to discover what kyber crystals, Imperial weapons development, and a scientist named Galen Erso have to do with each other. It’s a dangerous, complex mission full of more pitfalls than he can imagine …but he won’t be facing it alone.
Honestly I could live in this series forever. This is the third in the One Night Stand series and beyond the incredible world building, there is such a nuanced love story layered between the action that I live for the quiet moments. All the things said, unsaid, misunderstood and acknowledged is beautiful. If the author ever explored this world again, I would be the firs to sign up.
