We are hosting a new event for February: the first RebelCaptain Valentine’s Fic Rec Week! The event will run from February 8 to 14 and is a chance for people to celebrate the fic writers in this wonderful community! This event was inspired by the wonderful event here. The way it works is for you to recommend and review fics with fixed themes for each day, published in a Tumblr post.

SCHEDULE:

Day One: Published 2017 || Brand New

Day Two: WIP || Multi-Chaptered

Day Three: Romance || Comedy

Day Four: Angst || Canon-Compliant

Day Five:
Prologue || Epilogue

Day Six:
Mission Fic || Modern AU

Day Seven: Most Re-Read || Self-Rec / Free Day

Some guidance on the different styles of engagement:

Reviews: Some ideas to review a fic include your favorite scenes, use of characters, the attention to characterization, the use of genre (fluff, adventure, drama, AU), the prose or anything else you liked. We also encourage you to leave the same review on the writer’s original post or on Ao3.

Recommendations: Recommend as many fic writers and or fics as you want per day and theme. You could recommend just one, or many! You may want to include some general description of the fic as well.

Visual Content Creators: Please feel free to respond to prompts with new pieces of fanart, edits, gifs, or even fanvids based on the fic you want to recommend!

How it will work:

Please tag your posts with #trcnficrec in one of the first five tags so we can see it

@therebelcaptainnetwork will reblog ALL work with this tag that links to the original work

You must include a link to the original work and if the writer is on Tumblr, please tag them! Content which does not link to the original work will not be reblogged!

You can engage with one or both of the
