“Yes, I’m really here. I’m back”
mrjamiedornan-deactivated201503:
Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan for The Telegraph, November 2014
Today in The Thick of It history: 13 November 2011
Remembrance Sunday then, random Thursday now.
But whatever, because Malcolm’s zoology lesson and Ben’s uh-oh face (not that being caught stops him eating Malcolm’s biscuits) and Malcolm’s sleepy face and Malcolm using the Socratic method and Malcolm with his feet on the furniture and Malcolm’s fingers and Malcolm’s sticky-up hair and most of all Malcolm’s glasses of YES PLEASE.
But Clara saying “I grew out of fairytales” is heartbreaking
because only a few episodes ago she wanted to meet Robin Hood. She convinced the Doctor to take her there. The Doctor asked her when she started believing in impossible heroes and she replied with “Don’t you know?”
In fact so much of Clara’s story has been based around impossible things and fairytale-like features.
But she lost everything, she lost Danny, she lost the Doctor and now she’s lost any belief in fairytales.
And that hurts
And then the fairytale came back 8D
How long was it gone, though?
Too long
sorry that this is a little late my sweet loving babieeees ❤

ok but look how much both of them have changed. she’s gone from stepping away instinctively with fear and shock to fully understanding that he’s the same man as her handsome bowtie-wearing hero, except she understands him more and understands his burdens a little better, and now she’s seeking out some kind of safety from him
and apparently he’s gone from being unsure and latching on to her as the one safe thing after a rocky regeneration, to being much more sure-footed, to the point where he can both quickly assess that she needs a safe haven and he can provide it for her
