On the contrary, I believe the finale will show us how deep a bond they share, and how far they will go for each other. Since Clara’s betrayal was given in Dark Water, the staff won’t do that again in Death in Heaven. And if the staff had wanted their relationship to be totally broken, they would have set that betrayal in part two finale. Clara’s behavior in Dark Water showed how insecure and unworthy she felt when the situation’s out of her control, and the Doctor embraced her with deep love and acceptance. That controversial situation was a way to turn their relationship yet again, to show how far they’d changed since Deep Breath along with the help- each-other dynamic, for the final closure in Death in Heaven. I do believe their relationship is going to be fine and stronger, as it was throughout this series. What play out between them will certainly make us cry, though.
