what was mine is now in your possession – doctor who [twelve x clara]

cartoon-heart:

He is a thief.

His blue box is evidence of that, but he knows that that barely scratches the surface. No, he has stolen the hearts and minds of generations of humans. He has whisked them away across the stars, away to see the wonders of the universe. He has stolen their time from them, their human naivety, their memories, their hearts. Sometimes they have stolen his too.

He is a thief, but he doesn’t care. Until now, he has never stolen anything that didn’t want to be taken anyway.

This season is gaining momentum now with fizzing chemistry between Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, even as the cracks start to appear in the Doctor and Clara’s friendship.
This dramatic tone would not have suited any of Capaldi’s recent predecessors, and it’s wonderful seeing Steven Moffat and Capaldi taking the 12th Doctor to some very shadowy places – exposing uglier aspects of the Time Lord’s nature. Even when sunlight floods in, he’s dark…
Portentous dialogue, sharp direction, urgent music and a powerhouse performance from Peter Capaldi make this one of the defining moments of the season.

I’m in a state of sheer bliss contemplating the audacious territory of the character Twelve is reaching. Capaldi’s performance has been outstanding throughout. It wouldn’t have suited any of his predecessors and previous incarnations, it’s a mere certainty. (via mslavenza)
