Ugh. As apathetic as I want to be about this whole thing, I can’t help but think of that baby BBC America Paley Center NYC event back in 2010. There was free wine and cheese! Steven Moffat crushed me against a wall! I stared dumbfounded at Matt Smith for a long time! Oh, how you have grown in so many places, show of my heart. Please don’t let it go to your head. Tell good stories, first and foremost, all of the time. Every day. Don’t just try to scare people, or scare children, but tell good stories. That’s Doctor Who. Whatever happened to the adventures in history? There should be an entire series of the Doctor visiting history where he doesn’t try to kiss or marry any of them. That’s my Doctor Who. Telling people that there is some life, such as it is, outside of what you know. No mysteries. No impossible girls. Travel. Knowledge. New experiences.
