They gave it a shot.
& it didn’t work out. 

Months later they run into each other again.Ariadne, while crossing a bridge to her university, recognizes Arthur from a distance.
She squints to get a better view of him, only to realize there is a gorgeous brunette on his arm and the happiest smile on his face. 
Arthur feels someone’s gaze on his back and turns around just in time to lock eyes with a frowning Ariadne, a look of disbelief on her face.
Their gaze doesn’t last long, he turns his back on her and continues on his way across the bridge, pulling his new lady friend closer to him.
Ariadne, heartbroken, does the same.
