What’s the most resilient parasite? An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules. Which is why I have to steal it.
This is my life and it just turned you white as a sheet, so don’t call it dull again. Ever. Okay?
Top Five Amy Pond Moments | 05. “Amy’s Choice”
The Doctor, particularly Eleven, can be prone to tactless moments. This is true. Amy rightfully takes offense to the Doctor calling her life dull and fakes a short labor scare in order to bring him back down to Earth a little. And the Doctor apologizes, which is rare. I like a Doctor who apologizes when he’s being called out on his shit, but that’s another topic for another time. I know a lot of people don’t like Amy for a variety of reasons, but I always liked her, especially for her gumption, which this scene shows in spades.
I remember you. I remember! I brought the others back, I can bring you home too. Raggedy Man, I remember you and you are late for my wedding!
Top Five Amy Pond Moments | 03. “The Big Bang”
Cheesy, yes, but damn, I was grinning like a fool during the entire thing. This could have been another “been there, done that” situation if they had spent the time setting up this outcome from the very beginning with the themes of time being re-written and Amy not being normal. For me, it worked. The Amy we see at the end of the finale is not the Amy from before with all of her emotional hang-ups and her inability to say “I love you” to Rory. She has nothing to run from anymore. But she knows that something is still missing and figures out a way to fix it. This was such a great moment, in my opinion. The happy ending that this finale gave was so refreshing after numerous finales of angst and saying goodbyes.

The X-Files | Triangle
impossible odds, but comparatively they are really not
there will always be parts and pieces of us under and in rocks
we are often childish in many ways
and just like children purposelessly behaved
but somewhere else this will all be erased
and then nowhere taking on a somewhere shape
