It was clear from the first read-through that Peter and Jenna spark off each other’s energy. They get on incredibly well, which always helps. Watching them just read this scene in a church meeting room was electric. They’re both incredibly conscientious and professional in their approach and take their responsibility towards the characters very seriously. I think with the Doctor, more than most parts, the actor shapes the character and both Peter and Jenna bring so much additional depth to two already complex and beguiling roles.
