Oooooo yea…. this has been an ongoing saga. “Okay I ship whouffaldi now, let me into your group, I can make cool things” after spouting horrible things and losing followers; three weeks later, this… like wtf???

It’s funny though, prior to this series, I was very meh about Clara but it was this series that sold me on her. How she became much more than a puzzle for someone to solve and that was fascinating. I think she received so much hate because the perception was that she “stole the show” from the Doctor. I think that can be said of most companions and I think that IS why we watch. We need the companion to be the moral compass, we need the companion to explain what is happening to us and give us the perception that we need to view into. I think what was great about Clara this series, is that not only did she step out into her own, she may have blurred the lines of companion/doctor and stepped out of the moral straight line we expect of companions as part of her growth and understanding. And I think Jenna did an amazing job with that.

LOL, TLDR, I loved Clara this year. And will love her next series 🙂
