We were absolutely robbed of their story and I am heartbroken over it! So much potential and richness there.

In my head canon, they did not find their daughter alive but their story is how do you go on from that. Are you allowed the stages of grief that parents go through, does it drive you closer to your partner or away? I think you have two very isolated people who perhaps only ever opened up to one another so I believe there is the potential for them to use the other to assuage their grief. If you want bittersweet angst, lol.
