Rose Tyler is a sergeant of a secret military operation that has been tasked with investigating the ruins of recent alien incursions as the Earth rebuilds from a gigantic war between aliens and humans. She used to work with a partner, but after losing him on a mission she vowed never to work with a partner again…until one day she is sent to an abandoned hospital and encounters her new partner, Doctor John Smith. She is taken aback at how similar he is to her old partner, even down to his preference of the name “Doctor.”
