Where do you publish your work? AO3 mainly. I have a livejournal writing blog notlove and FFN mainly for my pre-DW works.
What medium/application/etc. do you write in or with? Word almost always.
Do you collaborate with others? Years ago I was part of a group of writers that traded ideas and did ficathons together (geekfiction I am looking at you). Right now I primarily bounce ideas off @rowofstars and my friend Kara. I may be doing my first collaboration later this week (fingers crossed)!
How much editing do you do before you publish? I send all my work to be beta read by Kara. I throw snippets to @rowofstars and I always sit on a story for a day or two. I read and re read a million times. I always read it out loud, like it’s a play to make sure it makes sense as dialect.
Do you listen to music when you write? Rarely. But that is not to say that I don’t have a song in mind when I am writing. I wrote 1K words last week to Adele’s Water Under The Bridge but the song was in my head and not playing. I am so weird like that. 🙂
How do you decide what to write about? I have vague ideas all the time. Right now I have four things going on and I can’t seem to settle on one thing. 90% of the time I only know what I am going to write when I sit down to write.
When do you write? I never feel compelled to write. I only write when I am fully and mentally prepared to and that is usually in my office at home.
How often do you write? I am not very prolific so I usually write on weekends and that is only sometimes.
Do you take requests? Why/why not? I do but not at the moment. I think once i get through the holidays and this last bit of schooling, I will feel more creative and write more.
Is there any genre or type of story you want to write but are hesitant to? I would love to write a dystopian version or AU of my favourite characters. I have never summoned the courage to do it but I would love it.
Any inspirational quotes, videos, tricks, articles, etc. that help you stay motivated? Thank you to everyone who reads, reblogs, likes, comments, does a drive by hi anything. I think there is an abundance of talent out there, and by taking that small bit of time, we are doing a lot of good. That motivates me.
