Okay, now that it’s settled in a bit, here’s another post XD Got the email from Kindle Scout today – Your book “No Safe Place” has been selected! – and promptly freaked out. I was with my client, and when he got back in the car, he gave me a high five, and then when we got back to the house, he told me to quit smiling (jokingly), and I was like, yeah, that’s not gonna happen anytime soon…

I’ve sent in my updated manuscript, cover, and summary, and now I have to wait again. Amazon will suggest edits; going by what someone else who got selected said, the editing process takes 3 weeks. Then I have to make whatever changes I want to make, and submit the final manuscript, etc. Then they’ll send out the advance copies to everybody who nominated it, and set up a pre-order, and then it’ll be live!

I WILL be releasing a print version as well, but I want to see what changes they suggest before I go through that process, so I don’t have to upload a bunch of different versions, but that will probably be out before the Kindle version (I’m not sure how long the pre-order is, maybe a week or two, but the print version won’t take long to put together), so for those of you who are more comfortable with a print copy, that’ll be available as well.

THANK YOU, again, to everybody who supported me during this. I honestly wasn’t sure if they would pick me, and I still can’t quite believe it. And as a parting gift, here’s a look at the updated cover!
