@incognitajones

tagged me in that meme to post the last sentence I wrote. Thanks!  From the next chapter of A Love Song:

Jyn saw this coming,
of course, but her stomach still clenches a little tighter as she recognizes
where they are going.

So anyone else want to share what they are scribbling? @sleepykalena? @thestarbirdfromtheashes? @ladytharen? Anyone else?

From my new AU, “A Valentine’s Day Proposition,“ for the upcoming Hallmark holiday because apparently that’s the only thing I can write right now while I’m paralyzed with fear over querying and am having trouble doing anything writing-related otherwise:

It wasn’t okay, for one thing.

Was supposed to be a one-shot.

Turning into three parts.

With minor angst. That wasn’t supposed to be there.

I’M SORRY.

OMG Jyn and Cassian why you gotta play me like this?!

But it has smut. Big smut. So hopefully that makes up for it?

@literatiruinedme (I know you’re writing literally RIGHT NOW!!) @thereigning-lorelai @jenniferjuni-per @grexigone @rebelle-capitan (I know you’re writing, too, hehe) @shu-of-the-wind @imsfire2 @cornholius @rover-kelevra. I know I’m forgetting people, ugh, my memory is crap. Feel free to shame me with judgy cat gifs if I forgot you. (@sleepykalena, I know you’ll just send me a judgy gif anyway for the hell of it.)

Aiee, tagged again!  Okay, here’s a bit from something rather anguished I’ve been working on for a while.  Weird-looking layout is because it’s supposed to be stream-of-consciousness.

Thank you for tagging me, @thestarbirdfromtheashes!

– I would choose now
of all times to fall for someone, ah yes, good work, Andor
– and the lift goes up, smoothly, carrying him to
whatever is to be found there
– and please, and please, he prays, wordless and
incoherent, please, Jyn and the mission, please…

I love seeing this meme go around and snagging it though I’m not tagged. Last dialogue exchange from the fifth chapter of my Leverage AU where Cassian’s healing. I haven’t put in all the tags yet, I learned how to write dialogue from the theater so those tend to come last for me.

Behind her she heard a grumble and looked over to see Cassian trying to fluff his own pillows, “Cassian, let me do that.”

“I’m not going to heal if I don’t move.”

“You have rehab for that. Do you need the list of all the ways you were hurt?”

“Will it make you feel better?”

In terms of tagging anyone who wants to do it and @thatexactleaf @liptonrm @villainny @notyourplayground

Thank you for tagging me @atthelamppost! I have two snippets to post from my WIP. First Rebelcaptain:

He refused to meet her eyes but knew he couldn’t help himself, that the words were being dragged from him against his will. “Why…why is it so easy with you and him?”

Why is it so hard for us?

She looks away and he watches as she presses her lips together, debating the answer. He knows that he is asking her to open up to him in the same way he refuses to do so with her.

She leans closer before she answers carefully, “Because it doesn’t mean anything.”

It’s easy since it’s nothing.

He refuses to look at her, instead staring at the drink in front of him. He hears her sigh and only turns to watch as she grabs her drink and quietly leaves his side.

Second Whouffaldi:

He thinks she looks relieved when she comments that he will
miss the dancing and he swears there is a lightheartedness about her. He is
sure the disappointment on her face is a trick of the light. Before he can
respond, Craig and Danny, two of Clara’s work paramours slide up next to her
and he watches quietly as Craig places an arm around her waist. “Clara, save a
dance for me, yeah?”

His eyes drift over to where Craig’s hand lies casually
against Clara’s waist and he feels as if he could reach over and tear the
younger man’s arm right off. He sighs inwardly and reminds himself that this is
why he shouldn’t be here; this is the reason that she is out of his reach. It wouldn’t
occur to him to invade her space so casually and perhaps she welcomed the
younger man’s attention. He closes his eyes for a brief second, calling himself
two thousand fools and realizes that, perhaps, the night is over him.

He should not have come tonight.

He watches Clara as she smiles at Danny who has taken it
upon himself to drag Craig to the bar and when she looks back at him, he has
made his mind up. So he is taken aback when she asks him to dine with him. He
was not expecting the invitation and though it was the point of the whole
evening, the point of why he was even here, he chose to decline her invitation.

Why ruin her evening as well?

He decides its best to leave it as is and go so he nods and
chooses this moment to leave her, why drag out this awkwardness any longer?

 I tag @rumple-belle, @perfectlyrose, @literatiruinedme, @vaderkat if you guys want
