Gatalenta

warm, tranquil, oceanic New Republic-affiliated planet with multiple suns. Gatalenta was home of Joph Seastriker, one of the founding members of the Resistance and a hand-selected pilot of Leia Organa, and Senator Tai-Lin Garr, one of Leia’s best friends and closest allies in the New Republic Senate until he his assassination.

Gatalenta was a staunchly Populist liberal planet, known for its reverence of Jedi legends, its devotion to love and compassion, its tea ceremony, and the value that its culture placed on honest emotion, especially crying. Human women marrying other human women and polyamory were both common, or at least accepted, on Gatalenta.
