A mild, temperate planet in the Core Regions, Chandrila was an essential part of the Galaxy’s political backbone – and as such, stood deeply against the Empire and became the seat of the first gathering of the New Republic Senate. Its capital city, Hanna City, was home to grand buildings like the Chandrilan Senate, the Old Gather-house, and the Senate Plaza. Further outside of the city, Chandrila had smaller cities, towns, and settlements like Junari Point. The lawyers-in-training and politicians visiting Chandrila might choose to visit the warm, gentle Silver Sea. New Republic Chancellor Mon Mothma, one of the founders of the Rebel Alliance, was from Chandrila.
