Chapter 8- Top Three

His eyes dart to hers, searching for any hint of hurt in them because maybe she already knows, but he only sees a playfulness that makes him feel guilty for immediately jumping to the conclusion that she would hold something like this over him.

She gives him a puzzled look and shit he must have that guilt spread all across his face.  She reads him so succinctly and he quickly schools his face into something more neutral.
