I need to talk about the beauty of these three coming together in the first gif, and more specifically about Rey and Poe. Oh my god. Look at them.

Because the thing is: Finn and Poe have already embraced before this. Rey is the only new arrival here. And while Finn and Rey have hugged one another at every hello for as long as they’ve known each other, Poe still doesn’t know her very well, and yet he ducks under her arm and buries his face in Finn’s neck as the two of them embrace, perhaps not expecting to be as included in the hug as he is. Rey and Poe only know each other because of Finn, and they love him so much, and he loves them so much, and so they matter to one another so much despite not knowing each other all that well yet. The way they both embrace him and Poe reaches up to clutch her hand and Rey reaches around Finn’s back for him too oh my god I can’t handle it. They’re all family now thanks to Finn.
