Re-Read
Tell Me Honestly by @cats-and-metersticks (tincantelephone)
In the aftermath of her rescue from Scarif, Jyn finds herself at the mercy of the rebellion bureaucracy. Unable to assimilate with Bodhi and feuding with Draven, she remains in limbo while Cassian recovers from his injuries. Surrounded by sentients, yet more isolated than ever, she struggles with her decision to join the rebellion.Trust may go both ways in theory, but that’s easier said than done.

I re-read a lot of stories but I would probably bet that this story is one of my most re-read. It has all the elements that I live for: angst, mutual pining, two people that can’t figure out how to communicate with each other and two survivors struggling to discover what the nest phase of their lives look like. I love this story!

Good Enough by @sleepykalena
Jyn Erso is one of the Heroes of Scarif, the ruthless fighter that gets the job done, the ever-swift force of nature that gets thrown into every risky situation imaginable for the Alliance, and makes it back alive. Beaten and battered, perhaps, but alive. And yet-It’s not good enough. Why, in spite all of what she’s done and continues to do, does she feel like she’s not worthy of praise?

This story is raw, emotional, and pulls the reader right into Jyn’s headspace and her insecurities and self worth are tangible. I feel like there is just so much energy and personal emotions put into this that it brings me back to this story over and over.

Self Rec

First – I am going to encourage everyone to check out my PROJECT RC GIFT TAG.  Here I created moodboards and graphics for some of my favourite stories and I hope to continue the project one real life time permits. So go through the tag and take a look at these stories that are amazing!

For self-rec, I chose two stories that I enjoyed writing and want to share with you.

a little too much by @leaiorganas (marcasite) me 🙂

The Alliance has brought her a small family, so she stays.

She is quickly partnered with the smuggler, Han Solo, who alongside the Jedi, helped destroy the Death Star over Yavin. She is not a flirt but her friendship with Han has brought out a more playful side of her that she did not think she is capable of and deep down she knows that they are more alike than different. She enjoys the laid-back attitude Han exudes, can feel the insecurity leveled underneath the exterior and understands what it means. With Han, she never worries that she will say or do the wrong thing, she never worries how she must come across, all angles and rough edges. He makes her laugh in a lifetime where she has laughed so little and he simply accepts her the way she is.

He is as warm to her as Cassian is cold.

Holidays, lights, coffee, and more. It’s always just business until it isn’t.

In which, Jyn is a coffee shop owner, business is good, a rival coffee shop is opening around the corner and a stranger is not exactly who he says he is…
