Dear Dad,
By this time, the Doctor has told you what happened. Please try not to blame him or yourself. We are safe and happy, really. Amy is gorgeous as ever, and I’ve taken up photography a bit as you can see.
The woman bringing you this postcard will tell you more. Much more. I’ll leave that to her.
We miss you, Dad, and we love you. We’ll be waiting for you. Just don’t get here too soon, okay?
Someone needs to water the plants.
Love,
Rory & Amy
But we can’t regret our choices. The past is behind us, all we have is the present. And the future, whatever that may bring.
“Tell her that if she’s patient, the days are coming which she’ll never forget”
“Woulda had. Never… had. In your dreams they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond. And the days that never came.”
I’ll be a story in your head. That’s okay. We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? ‘Cause it was, you know. It was the best.
It was brilliant to see a scenario where for once the Doctor loved his companion too much rather than vice versa. The unrequited love went the other way for once.
#oh god i laughed through the tears
I’ll be a story in your head. That’s okay. We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? / Tell her this is the story of Amelia Pond, and this is how it ends.
